Who are we? What do we do?
The Northern Lights Charity, formerly known as the Christopher Johnson Fund, has over 25 years of experience in organising this type of holiday where seriously ill children are given the chance to experience the Christmas of a lifetime.
The children we take on these holidays come from the North of England and are nominated by medical staff and social workers at the hospitals that they attend. The medical staff are able to identify those that are most in need.
These magical holidays give the children such a boost. We are often told by their families and medical carers of the physical and mental benefits they provide.
Committee Members
Meet the committee members of Northern Lights who are all volunteers and give their time and experience to enable us to undertake the work we do. Click on the pictures for a short profile on each of the members.
