Who are we? What do we do?
The Northern Lights Children’s Charity, formerly known as the Christopher Johnson Fund, has 30 years of experience in organising holidays where children with life limiting illnesses are given the chance to experience the Christmas of a lifetime and is run by a voluntary committee.
The children we take on these holidays come from the North of England and are nominated by medical staff and social workers at the hospitals that they attend. The medical staff are able to identify those that are most in need
These magical holidays give the children such a boost. We are often told by their families and medical carers of the physical and mental benefits they provide.
Meet the committee and associate committee members of Northern Lights who are all volunteers and give their time and experience to enable us to undertake the work we do.
