Every December Northern Lights enables 20 children to swap hospital visits for sleigh rides, deep crisp snowy landscapes, Northern Lights, reindeers, huskies, toboggans and snow-mobiles transporting them far away from appointments, treatment regimes and worries to the winter wonderland of Lapland.
Northern Lights believe that every child deserves a sprinkle of magic and with support they can provide time away, giving children and their families something to look forward to through times of uncertainty, challenge and emotional strain. Northern Lights aims to help families to put their child’s illness on hold as they have fun, happiness, wonderful experiences and create precious memories.
We hope that this theme conjures up lots of inspiration. Take a look at the images below and the words on the left for some more inspiration.
How you can help?
We would like you to enter this competition by creating a picture, painting, craft or design that reflects ‘Winter Wonderland’ for Northern Lights.
We would love to have a fantastic arts and crafts exhibition of all the entries at the Parkgate Carnival on the 8th July 2018.

Make a picture, painting or craft to show what Winter Wonderland means to you. It can be hand or foot prints, collage, snowflake cutouts, reindeer, snowmen, elves, Father Christmas, sleighs, winter clothes or anything else you can think of!
We can’t wait to see what winter means to you!
In return Northern Lights will:
• Share your work with their audience of over 2,000 followers through an online gallery and to potentially 5,500 visitors to the Carnival exhibition.
• Award you with a certificate of participation to take into school and share.

We would love to see your idea of a Winter Wonderland for these very special children!
