With just over 1 week to go its time to get planning to make the most of the day at the Carnival. There’s so much going on you’ll want to get organised and get there as early as possible!

Things kick off shortly after the gates open on Sunday 8th July 2017, 11:30am till 7:00pm at Neston Cricket Club, Station Road, Neston CH64 6QJ.

Entry Prices

Adults £2.00 and accompanied Children under the age of 12 FREE!

To enable you to plan your day and get the most out of the Carnival you can purchase your entry programme in advance for £2 on Friday 6th of July at Neston Market. This will provide you with all the information you need to plan what to see, get involved in and visit.

As well as detailed entertainment / music programmes, lists of stallholders and food outlets there is a full schematic map available showing you where you can find everything.

Batala Mersey Drums Open proceedings at 12.00pm

Following Batala the Neston Mayor, Pat Kynaston, will crown the Carnival King & Queen and officially open the event.

Plan Your Journey

Arriving by car:

If you’re planning to arrive by car we’re delighted to announce that there will be FREE car parkingavailable on the Parkgate Fields, a stones throw from the Carnival gates.

Then take a short walk to the Carnival at the Neston Cricket Club.

Arriving by foot or bicycle:

You may want to include a terrific walk or cycle ride to the Carnival and take advantage of the lovely Wirral Way,it runs along a pleasant traffic free path through the Wirral countryside and along the coastal estuary of the River Dee. You can pick up the track at Hooten Railway Station to Neston and Parkgate or head the other way from Thurstaston and Heswall. The Carnival is ideally placed close by to the Wirral Way.

Arriving by bus:

*Check all bus times before you travel

If you are travelling from Liverpool, Birkenhead, Tranmere, Bebbington or Thornton Houghyou can catch the 487 bus to Parkgate on a Sunday. Plan your times here.

Arriving by Train

*Check all train times before you travel

If you are travelling by trainyou can travel to Neston Station and then either take a 20 minute walk or a short bus journey to Neston Cricket Club. To help you plan your journey visit here.

Plan Your Entertainment

Help Your Children Enjoy Their Day

We have so much entertainment for children they will be spoilt for choice!

Free entry for accompanied children under 12 and free activities such as the Storyteller, the Police and Fire Service interactive displays and the Cheshire Home Guard will ensure children get plenty from their day.

Get Active and Burn Off Some Energy

Fancy a bit of healthy competition? Or sit back and enjoy watching your children get fit! We have a range of sports available at our Sports Village with JD Aerial Fitness doing a full programme of performances. Or your children may want to bring their pocket money to try out:

Plan Your Rest & Recouperation

With so much going on you may want to take some time out to rest whilst watching the music or entertainment. There’s limited seating available so, if you fancy putting your feet up for a while feel free to bring a fold up chair or a blanket.

If it’s anything like last year, don’t forget your hats and suncream too!

Northern Lights hope this provides you with all the information you need to get organised for the day. It’s been a long time in the planning and the organising committee is very much looking forward to the event.
